We've entered the home stretch of sixth grade! We have lots to learn and lots to do over the next several weeks to get ready to move on to seventh grade.

We have started transitional activities with Parish Hill. Mark your calendar for June 5, 2012 as that is Parent night at Parish Hill starting at 6:00 PM. The staff from PHHS visited our sixth graders on May 10, 2012, going over over schedules and class options. They left a packet of forms with your sixth grader to be filled out and returned ASAP. They return on May 18, 2012 at 10:00 to give the students more information and get them ready to visit PHHS. We visit PHHS on May 31, 2012. We will spend the morning there and have lunch. We'll be returning that afternoon.

We are planning to have graduation Tuesday June 12, 2012. More information to follow. Our trip to Lake Compounce for Thursday, June 7, 2012, is coming together. I will be sending out permission slips early next week. Please sign up to be a chaperone, I ordered plenty of tickets so that you can come on this fun trip with your child. The fund raising activities have been most successful and we have enough money to pay for this trip as well as provide the students with T-shirts.The T-shirts are being printed now and they are GORGEOUS! This is always a very nice trip and a lovely park so please plan to join us for the day. We will have access to the water park as well as the amusement rides.

WE NEED PICTURES! Please send in or e-mail pictures to Lisa Castle for the graduation power point. This is a very special presentation and we need four pictures of your child at different stages of his/her life for the slide show. It really is a beautiful celebration of your child's Scotland School experience but we need your help to make this evening a wonderful experience. Mrs. Castle kindly volunteered to do this and it takes a great deal of time. She would like to not have to do it at the last minute, but right now she has less than half of the required pictures. Please contact her immediately.
