Miss Lebeau's Second Grade Class
Reading: We have started our second reading anthology. We are still working on understanding what we read and being able to retell information from our texts. We have also started the bookworm program and nightly homework can be counted toward those cards.
Spelling: Spelling is going great. The tests will be on Fridays unless otherwise stated on the homework sheet on Mondays.
Math: We are working on getting more fluent in our math facts. Skip counting is also an important skill we continue to work on. Skip counting is the first stage to learning multiplication. Double and triple digit addition and subtraction are areas of focus. These areas are easier to do when your child knows his or her math facts.
Social Studies: We have been reading our National Geographic Magazines.
Science: We will be starting our solids, liquids, and gases unit.
Social Studies: We will be working on geography and map skills.
We are doing an amazing job earning tickets and marbles.
