Join the Brigade!!
Scotland Elementary School is joining with TerraCycle. Together we can help the planet and raise funds too!
How does TerraCycle work?
Have you ever seen a kite made from Oreo wrappers, fertilizer packaged in an old 2-liter bottle or a fire log made from wax coated cardboard? TerraCycle uses the “trash” to create new products. Collecting non-recyclable waste to turn into new products is known as “upcycling”. Visit Wal-Mart during April to see over 60 TerraCycle products being sold next to the products it was made from. Did anyone see a tote bag made from chip bags or a backpack made from drink pouches?
How does this benefit Scotland Elementary School?
TerraCycle will donate $.02 to Scotland Elementary School for every item we collect!! Plus we’re helping remove millions of pounds of waste from going into landfills.
How can we help?
Recycle boxes have been placed in the Cafeteria. Classrooms are encouraged to collect items during snack and bring them to the cafeteria during lunch. Items will be sorted and mailed as the boxes are filled.
Where can I get more information?
